After several months of painstaking planning and construction, WHUP’s amazing outdoor sign has been approved by the Hillsborough Historic District Commission and will soon be mounted on the brick wall outside our studios. The museum-quality work blended the design and fabrication skills of Cap’n Dave Kornegay (pictured), Jim Tomburg and Ellen Steinberg, who donated their efforts to the cause. The sign is three-dimensional and includes our trademark can, made from a piece of pipe salvaged from the town water department (courtesy of Will B). WHUP will post the date and time of the public hanging, so feel free to come out and celebrate another successful community collaboration!
