Weary of the barrage of solicitations and efforts to get you to empty your wallets for the holidays? Well, here’s one more to compound the fun: our very own international philanthropic appeal, WHUP Wednesday! If Black Friday, Small-Business Saturday, Cyber Monday and Giving Tuesday haven’t already tapped you out, please consider making an online donation. You never know, just a little spare change in the till could drop you into a lower tax bracket. Of course, as with those other “days,” we’ll gladly accept your gift any time before Jan. 1 (or after for that matter). In case you’re wondering, the proceeds from WHUP Wednesday will be used to purchase equipment that will help us upgrade and improve our various broadcast services – the need for that equipment has become clear now that we’ve been up and running for a couple of months and have had to put out a few technical fires.
