Tune in for another great WHUP live special session this Friday at 3:00 featuring Boston guitarist Danielle Miraglia, who will bring her stellar voice and vintage Gibson to the studio for an hour of original blues-flavored roots music. Danielle will be appearing later that evening with local favorite Jon Shain at the Cary Theater and will preview the concert at WHUP with a mix of music and conversation.
Whether fronting a full band or playing solo, Danielle has captivated folk and blues audiences from coast to coast and has garnered numerous accolades while establishing herself in the vanguard of emerging talent as a triple-threat singer, songwriter and instrumentalist. No wonder that she has shared the stage with a musically variable cast of major leaguers including Johnny Winter, Bettye Lavette, John Hammond Jr., Joan Osborne, John Mayall, Sonny Landreth, John Oates, Colin Hay, Robert Cray and Rodney Crowell.
Danielle’s third and most recent album, Glory Junkies, has received high praise from the national music press for its breadth of material and songwriting virtuosity. She’ll be playing solo versions of songs from the album as well as older material and maybe some works in progress. Be sure to check it out!
