Join WHUP at the River Park Concert in Hillsborough Saturday, October 28

WHUP is a proud participant in Hillsborough’s free outdoor River Park Concert Saturday, October 28, and we want you to join us for a great day of music and community! The day will kick off at the WHUP studios with a WHUP Special live session at 10 am featuring two of the RPC headliners, Eric Lindell & Seth Walker, who will talk about their work and play a few tunes to preview the afternoon’s festivities.

Eric Lindell has been writing songs and rockin’ the blues in New Orleans since arriving in the Crescent City in 1999. Known for his infusions of soul and funk into a solid blues-rock foundation, Eric performs locally with Aaron Neville and others in the New Orleans supergroup Dragon Smoke when not fronting his own band on tour around the country and overseas.

Seth Walker, also based in New Orleans, was born and raised in North Carolina and grew up in a musical family. Influenced by the legendary blues greats as well as the accomplished songwriters he encountered during his periods living in Austin and Nashville, Seth has nine releases of original music to his credit and tours the country with his band for much of the year.

WHUP is honored to have Eric and Seth join us in the studio and to help promote our homegrown River Park Concert, which will run from noon-8 pm in the meadow behind the new courthouse and farmer’s market pavilion. Various community events will be on tap along with local craft beer and food trucks – we’ll see you there!
