We’re pleased to announce that two of our esteemed WHUP DJs have been spotlighted recently. Mrs. Bluegrass aka Becky Johnson, the host of WHUP’s Panhandle Country, was honored during the recent Leadership Bluegrass Alumni Retreat at the YMCA Blue Ridge Center in Black Mountain, NC. for her lifetime of promoting bluegrass music as a broadcaster, photographer and promoter. Beach music broadcasting legend Charlie Brown discussed his storied radio career in an Outreach NC Magazine profile and was also featured in an Indyweek article about beach music. WHUP is fortunate to have both DJs on our roster, and we’re glad others are paying attention!
