We are pleased to announce that WHUP has secured its studio space above the legendary Dual Supply hardware store in downtown Hillsborough for the next decade! With affordable commercial space increasingly difficult to find in town, the extension comes at an important time for WHUP, which will celebrate its fourth anniversary this week since launching broadcast operations in 2015. Our location in the heart of downtown has been instrumental in our ability to become a community asset and make a difference, so having our space locked in through 2029 is a really big deal for us.
Special thanks to the Woods family, founders and proprietors of Dual Supply and the building owners, for their generosity and support in ensuring our continued success as an independent radio station with an eclectic array of music and talk programming that reflects the amazing talent and creative energy throughout the greater Triangle. Our partnership with Dual has been fruitful from the start, and we could not ask for a better way to celebrate our birthday!
