WHUP Welcomes First Station Manager
WHUP 104.7 FM has hired Danielle Rose as its first-ever station manager, a milestone nearly 10 years in the making. The station received nearly 100 applications for the role before the board unanimously selected Rose.
A longtime Triangle resident with deep ties to Hillsborough and Pittsboro, Rose brings a diverse background as a small business owner, UNC-Chapel Hill graduate, event organizer, and community advocate. She says her passion lies in “serving the community at the ground level,” and she looks forward to helping WHUP expand its reach and strengthen its mission.
With her leadership, the station has already begun planning multiple events, including WHUP’s 10th Anniversary Fund-A-Thon this fall. Station co-founder Bob Burtman called Rose “head and shoulders the best choice,” and praised the energy she’s already brought to the team.
