“Out of left field” is American slang that often means “unexpected”, “odd”, or “strange.” On “From Out of Left Field” we will take a freeform journey spanning all forms and eras of rock and roll, specializing in a late night vibe with psychedelic leanings. Expect numerous detours into r&b/soul classics and obscurities, longish ambient space explorations, doom and stoner metal epics and an obsession with Seventies-era electric Miles and Blue Note jazz classics aplenty. It’s also not unheard of for the occasional top 40 pop hit you didn’t know you wanted to hear to show up.
Our mission statement at “From Out of Left Field” is to bring you, at least, one moment every week where you get to experience the joy of hearing a song, whether it’s something you’ve heard a million times or a new favorite, in a cool and interesting way that makes you want to know more about the artist. Tune in Saturdays from 10:00 pm – Midnight for hits “From Out of Left Field” and beyond.
