After many months of planning, WHUP has hired our first employee, Eva Baysmore-Green, as our part-time volunteer coordinator. Eva resides in Mebane and has been working hard to fill some of the functions that we need to improve our programming and services and has been recruiting folks to help manage our social media, assist with audio production, staff events and the many other tasks that we have not had the time or capacity to do ourselves.
Eva brings a variety of relevant skills and experience to the organization including non-profit and business management, event planning, communications and early childhood education. She’s also incredibly nice. We are thrilled to have her as part of the WHUP team and excited to embark on the next phase of our mission as we increase the capacity of the station to serve the community. Yay!
